There is so much to love about this kitchen and it’s not just the jaw dropping walnut or our awesome clients! The colour blocking between the lacquer and walnut is perfection and the size of the island is thoughtfully balanced with the decor hood, walnut shelves and uppers. The walnut reeded detail (hello!) in the hood, over the open shelves and sides of the island is simply stunning! And the interior drawers are all WALNUT 🤎 Beyond the aesthetic’s, this kitchen is very practical, there is a place for everything and behind those gorgeous antique doors is a walk-in pantry that tugs at one’s organizational heartstrings. We could go on, and on, but none of this would have been possible without our incredible clients, who came with a vision. We took that vision and crafted it into a stunning space that we know will be enjoyed with family & friends for many years to come.

Designer spotlight: Q&A with Janelle Farley
How did you know you wanted a career in design:
I always knew I wanted to end up in design, from a very young age I was drawn to kitchens and bathrooms. So to actually have it come to fruition through schooling, hard-work, and perseverance, is a dream come true. And I am beyond thrilled to be working for such a prestigious cabinet manufacturer, Distinctive by Design.
Where do you find your design inspiration:
I have a love of both fashion and design, so this may be unexpected, but my closet is where I am often inspired combing comfort and current trends in my personal style.
What are your ‘go to’ colour(s) when designing:
I am unapologetically drawn to neutrals, I embrace their timeless appeal and versatility, but I do welcome colour and if the client is willing, I love to add well balanced contrasts in the design.
What can a client expect in their design meeting:
The design process is a thoughtful collaboration between designer and client. I believe in creating spaces that reflect my clients' personal style, while ensuring that each space is visually stunning but also highly functional to meet their everyday needs.
